Discover Mulhouse, the creative Alsace

Our hotel near Mulhouse is an ideal place to stay to visit this beautiful city. Surprisingly, the city with a hundred chimneys seems closer to Switzerland than to Alsace. Indeed, while walking around, you will not see traditional Alsatian half-timbered houses but, on the contrary, houses with shimmering colors, decorated with frescos, or brick buildings.
The historical heart of the city, the Place de la Réunion, is emblematic of this particular architecture with its old town hall, pink in color, and the Mieg house, dating from the 16th century, which displays an immaculate whiteness. On this square, you can also admire the Saint-Etienne temple, the highest Protestant building in France which rises to 97 m. Classified as a historical monument, this temple contains a magnificent organ from 1866 with seventy stops.

City of art and history, Mulhouse is famous for the quality of its museums because it has managed to transform its old industrial heritage into places of culture and knowledge. Discover the internationally renowned Cité de l’Automobile – Collection Schlumpf, which houses more than 430 exceptional vehicles, including 150 Bugattis.
Then visit the Cité du Train, the largest railway museum in Europe, Électropolis, which traces the history of electricity, the museum of printing on fabrics, which preserves more than 6 million designs, or the Ecomuseum of Alsace, which promotes the know-how of the region.
Mulhouse is also distinguished by the presence of an international airport, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, which has the particularity of being the only binational airport in the world. Located less than 30 minutes from the hotel, it allows to reach many destinations in Europe.
